Unlike our Complexion Soaps, Madam Rain's cold process soap does not contain any palm oil. This formula was created to provide the moisturizing benefits of coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil and mango butter. A tiny amount of sodium lactate is added to help harden the soap to make it last longer. These are true soaps produced by the saponification of natural oils. No sodium hydroxide remains in the soap after the saponification process.
 
Cold process soaps are made in small batches, and only those available will be listed for sale. Approximately seven new and uniquely fragranced batches of cold process soap will be made per month. The fragrances and colors used to make the batch is part of the handmade processes, and will not be duplicated in any given month. Once a batch is gone, it's gone! So, act quickly if you would like one of these unique handmade soaps.
 
About the fragrances:
 
NOTE: this fagrance is an EXFOLIATING Soap: Violets in the Vineyard is a light fresh fragrance with fresh grape complemented with a hint of violet. This light fresh fragrance is suitable for men or women because it is in no way flowery. This soap is exfoliating due to the zinc oxide in the bar which gives the soap grit. Zinc oxide is said to have antiseptic and antibacterial properties, making Violets in the Vineyard soap great for scrubbing away those pesky germs or sloughing off dead skin cells.
 
Walking on Sunshine soap has a spicey fragrance with notes of apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla making it similar to the fragrance of spiced apple cider. The dark rich brown color comes from the natural reaction of vanillin when it is used to fragrance soap. The fragrance is suitable for men or women. 
 
Clean Burgundy is a fresh soap fragrance that smells like, well.., soap. If you like the fragrance of a commercial deoderant bar, this is the fragrance for you.
 
Always store your soap in a dry location away from extreem heat or cold. To preserve your soap in the bath or shower, always use a self-draining soap dish between uses. These soap bars do have fragrances. Do not use any soap with fragrance if you are sensitive to fragrances.
