These bars of soap are pure luxury, hand milled, 8% superfatted soaps. This means that 8% of the oils in the soap remain unsofonified leaving the oils available to moisturize skin. In addition, the reduction of water prevents soda ash from forming, and increases glycerin (a humectant) formation giving the bar a smooth  appearance, and soft feel.
